Year-round flower gardens proliferate in the temperate climate, which sustains ferny trails in the five parks encompassing abalone coves, tide pools, redwoods and conifers, waterfalls and the Pygmy Forest. From Elk to Westport, where all buildings face the sea, Highway 1 follows the breathtaking coastline.
